How to size your dog for the fur saver:
Please measure the circumference of your dog's neck and add 2-3 inches (5-7 cm) to determine an appropriate collar length. For example: your dogs neck circumference is 18 inches (45 cm), in this case please order 20-21 inches (50-52 cm) collar.

Inner diameter of the ring is 3/4 inch (20 mm)
Length of the link is 3/4 inch (20 mm)
Name plate is 17 mm (about 3/5 inch) wide and 66 mm (about 2 1/2 inch) long
Please note that inside area of the name plate is 47 mm (about 2 inches) long (not including holes where name plate is connected to the links of the fur saver)

The weight of this Chrome Plated Fur Saver depends on the size and varies between 2.5 oz - 3.8 oz (70 g - 110 g).

Herm Sprenger has developed a new method of processing, called Chrome plating. It is a technique of electroplating a thin layer of chromium onto a metal product. Products that were subjected to this process, usually look more decorative, than those made of ordinary stainless steel. The chromed layer provides rust resistance for your collar as well as it makes cleaning procedures much easier. These collars will serve you and your dog for years.

How do these chains reach such bright and durable surface?
Whereas other manufacturers only dip the chains before halvanizing, Sprenger uses a different procedure of mirror-bright polishing. Dipping means to remove non-metallic unclean things like oil from the chains. The metal becomes clear but has no surface polishing. The advantage of polishing is that the surface becomes much smoother and has this special bright shine. After tumbling, the chains are nickel or chrome plated. Laboratory permanently monitors these nickel and chrome baths. Sprenger examines the grip of the nickel layer through "bending" tests before the chains are chromium plated.

Hi guy, I just treated boomer to a new collar and choke think he deserved it as we were in an AB show yesterday he won 2 to 4 yr old standard male went on to win best standard male then the crowning glory went on to win best in show so im well happy with him!!!
